In order to strengthen the construction of grass-roots Party organizations and implement the implementation plan of the school's "Grass-roots Party Building Quality Improvement and Tackling Hardships", according to the key work arrangement of the college's Party building and the construction of double-first-class disciplines, Ji Hongguang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Jin Longzhe, president of the School of Civil and Resources Engineering, Beijing University of Science and Technology, July 20-22, 2018 With 16 members of the leading group of the institute, all the secretaries of the Party branch, deputy secretaries and full-time staff of the Student Working Group, the team went to Shenyang and Fushun to carry out the theme exchange and on-the-spot investigation activities of "searching for the 100-year mining footprint of the Republic and reviewing the eternal spirit of Leifeng in the new era". The purpose of this paper is to find out the footprints of national industry and mining industry in China in the past century by visiting and investigating Shenyang and Fushun, to carry out research and subject exchanges in Colleges and universities, to visit open-pit coal mines and to inspect the history of mining industry in the past century. Through visiting Lei Feng Memorial Hall and studying Lei Feng's deeds, we can review the realistic significance of Lei Feng's spirit in the new era.
