Bio:
Hongqing Song received his bachelor degree in Chemical engineering from Dalian University of Technology, China in 2004 and Ph.D. in Fluid Mechanics from University of Science & Technology Beijing (USTB) in 2009. Consecutively he became an assistant professor in School of Civil and Environmental Engineering in USTB. He worked in Texas A&M University as visiting scholar in 2014 and was appointed as associate professor in the same year. He was a senior visiting scholar in King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, Saudi Arabia in 2018 and got promoted to Full Professor. He received the award and fund for Young Talents Program of University in Beijing in 2013 and Beijing Nova Program 2017.
Current Research Interests:
① Current areas of interest: Geological energy development theory and simulation technology, Big data analysis and application in energy and environment, Rainwater infiltration theory and runoff control in sponge city construction, Groundwater resources and environmental protection.
② Major research projects: Responsible for and participate in more than 30 scientific research projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation, the National 973, the National Major Project, and the China Petroleum Science and Technology Innovation Fund, and Beijing Nova Program.

Achievements:
He has published 100 papers including 33 SCI with total 100 citations by others and 18 EI articles as first author or only corresponding author. He has been rewarded National Science and Technology Progress Second Prize in 2010 and five provincial level Science and Technology Progress First Prizes. He has also been authorized 18 invention patents, and published one Chinese and one English textbook as editor in chief.
