Curriculum viate:  

Nailian Hu, Professor of Mining Engineering, now works for School of Civil and Resource Engineering at the University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB).

Prof. Hu obtained a Bachelor of Mining Engineering from USTB. Then he went to Germany to engage in advanced studies in May, 1982. He has been served as head of laboratory of system engineering, director of institute of mining research, manager of the Department of Resources Engineering, and vice dean of School of Civil and Resource Engineering.

Research field:

Prof. Hu’s research interest focus on mining system engineering, intelligent mining, mining economy and mining safety.

In recent years, Prof. Hu has won a second prize for national scientific and technological progress and 10 provincial and ministerial prizes for scientific and technological progress, including one special prize and seven first prizes. He has published more than 100 papers, of which more than 40 have been collected by SCI, EI or ISTP.

Teaching courses

Prof. Hu gives the courses of postgraduate and undergraduate such as Mining System Engineering, Decision Analysis Method of Mining Systems, New Progress of Mining Theory and Technology, New Technologies and Development Directions of Mining Engineering. He has directed more than 30 doctoral graduates, more than 100 master graduates, and 7 post-doctoral graduates.

Prof. Hu is currently Standing Member of Mining Professional Committee of The Chinese Society For Metals, Deputy Director of Mine Information Intelligence Professional Committee of The Nonferrous Metals Society, china, Director of China Gold Association, and Editorial Board of the journal of Gold Science and Technology.
