Meifeng Cai, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, professor of University of Science and Technology Beijing, currently serves as chairman of the Committee on Education of the International Society for Rock Mechanics and vice chairman of Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics and Engineering. He focuses on in-situ stresses measurement and scientific mining research, has got five National Prize for Progress in Science and Technology, one National Award for Technological Invention 3rd Prize and sixteen provincial and ministerial awards.
