Biography/ Background:  

Associate Professor Wensheng LYU has more than 25 years of experience in academic research, teaching and consulting to industry in the field of Mining Engineering. His research interests include geostatistical modelling of mineral resource, mining economy and management, mining method selection and optimization, rock mechanics, etc.

Recent work has focused on the theoretical and technical studies of backfill, especially on the quick thickening of tailings, resistance control of backfill pipeline and paste ensemble, the stability of tailings dam.

He has published over 100 papers and parts of books in the fields of mining engineering.
